When we bought our new spa, Terlam in Fords, NJ, we were mindful that some of the existing members would have concerns with us holding naturist events there. The following is an open letter that addresses those concerns.
FKK's new health club / spa - Terlam
Cherished Terlam Members,
Please bear with me as I 'll do my best to clarify what we do in addition to what we stand for.
FKK is an abbreviation of Naturist Portal. It was founded by Felicity and I in 2011 with the objective of growing naturism and its fundamental principals and values.
Naturism is a doctrine and way of life that's shared by folks from all walks of life in every corner of the globe. Naturists believe that an individual should be judged based on their character and how they act, not based on their occupation, how they look or how much money they've.
In reality, we assert that clothing sexualize individuals far more than simple nudity.
We use social nudity to encourage acceptance. We believe in equality and by removing garments, we additionally remove societal stigmas, status symbols and bias. Without such status symbols, a janitor becomes indistinguishable from a attorney and hence they're both on an even playing-field.
Some of the major problems that FKK handles as an organization are body image and body acceptance, behavioral problems such as bullying and fat shaming, women's rights, child pornography, sexuality-related subjects etc.
For us, the sight of the nude human form is nothing black. With that said, we understand that some people may believe otherwise, which is why we are doing our best to educate the public about what naturism, in its purest kind, really is.
Since there is nothing sexual about our events, try to think of it as though they're going to some PG film. If they can manage the price of admission then there is absolutely no reason why they should not be allowed to join. We provide a safe, family-friendly environment for individuals who share our values and morals.
There has also been concern over the nude use of our swimming pool. read is standard practice at each and every naturist or naturist place. In fact, swimming bare is far better for many health reasons. There are also quite a number of sanitary gains. Bathing suits generally comprise dirt, detergents, dyes, and other household chemicals. Also, most non naturist swimming pools don't apply a "shower before swimming" policy so chances are that a naturist pool will be far cleaner with less compounds.
When using the workout equipment, naturists consistently sit on a towel and use any gear while wearing shoes. This is much cleaner than sitting on the bikes with sweaty work out fabrics.

Hopefully, this will put most of your issues at ease. I understand the first news of these events may have come as a bit of a jolt and the reaction is clear.
When we let our imaginations run wild, the fantasy is usually way more extreme than reality.
