OBJECT OF IF YOU HAD TO: The object of If You Had To is to be the first player to reach five points. NUMBER OF PLAYERS: 3 or more players MATERIALS: 250 Playing Cards TYPE OF GAME: Party Card Game AUDIENCE: 17+ OVERVIEW OF IF YOU HAD TO If You Had To makes the game Would You Rather seem like a bore! Instead of attempting to cook up terrible things to choose between, this game makes it simple! With 250 playing cards, that each have their own horrible and hilarious scenarios, it’s difficult to choose what is worse! Each player is able to argue their choice, making it even harder than it seemed in the first place! Time to choose if you would rather eat all your meals of Vin Diesel’s head or fill your pants with gravy every morning. If you think that’s a hard decision, just wait! They only get worse from here! SETUP To begin set up, the cards are shuffled. Each player is then dealt five cards. After each player has their five cards, the stack is placed facedown in the center of the group. The game is ready to begin! GAMEPLAY FOR SMALLER GROUPS The most attractive person in the group is assigned the role of the Judge first. Each player chooses a card from their hand that they think the Judge would least like to do. The Judge gathers the cards, turns them over, and reads them aloud to the group. Each player then has the opportunity to argue why their card is the worst card. The Judge may ask additional questions to clarify specifics about the card. After the debate, the Judge chooses the worst card, and that player receives a point. All players refresh their hand by drawing a card from the top of the deck, ensuring they have five cards in their hand. The player to the left of the Judge becomes the new Judge. The game ends when a player reaches five points. FOR LARGER GROUPS Split the group into two teams. The smartest person of the whole group becomes the Judge first. This is debated among the players. The Judge will then draw two cards, assigning one to each team. Each team will then attempt to persuade the Judge that their card is the worst of the two cards. The Judge chooses which card they believe to be the worst one, and that team receives a point. The first team to earn three points wins the game! If things get out of hand, and the teams are arguing excessively, the Judge may set a time limit for each debate. They set it at one minute per team. Teams have the option to choose a spokesperson to speak for the team. END OF GAME The game comes to an end when a player earns five points or a team wins three points. If you are the first one there, you are the winner! 샌즈카지노 |
