You will be having to choose between the medium, low and high-end controllers available for your iPhone. malding give you isn't a definitive list but it's a quick easy explanation of what you can get and where you can get it, how it works.

Budget Friendly - Rotor Riot Gamepad Controller
This controller was one of the first controllers I ever bought and enjoyed it! I didn't like the idea of using my Xbox controller as well as my Playstation because of being able to am a frequent player on consoles, and having to sync each when I switched to be too much of an annoyance.

Best iPhone gaming controllers
The Rotor Riot Gamepad Controller let me to play with my console gaming separate from my mobile gaming. The wire technology made it a separate device and fast in connecting it to my iPhone. The only issue I faced with it was that larger models of the iPhone, such as those with iPhone Pro Max versions weren't too comfortable to play for long sessions.

The buttons are good enough, but it won't rival a dedicated Xbox or DualShock controller in the buttons department. If you're not averse to synchronizing and switching between your console and mobile device or don't have a console than I suggest not using this controller and instead purchasing a dedicated console controller with an adapter clamp that allows you to attach your iPhone to your preferred controller.

Mid-tier: SteelSeries Nimbus+
It is a controller that allows you to change between different devices such as the Mac, Apple TV, and iPhone or iPad effortlessly since it's wireless. It is pricier than the Gamepad of the same name from the Rotor It has more durable and it is wireless. I think it's a worthy selection on the Best iPhone Gaming Controllers list due to its versatility in design, quality of design, and price. I would say that I prefer the non-symmetrical joystick design.

High-Tier: Razer Kishi & Backbone One

We received two controllers at the top of the line of this top iPhone gaming controllers review and I got to say they are both approximately the same price, depending on the sales that Amazon might be doing, but both are great design and build quality. They are the closest as you can get to portability and quality perfect.

Razer Kishi
Razer Kishi for iOS – Lightning (Not the USB C version)
My personal preference in the iPhone gaming needs with a controller due to the flexibility and portability of this controller. The right joystick is odd for its placement compared to my smaller-medium hand and the d-pad feels somewhat awkward, so getting used to it is something you'll have to work on. I chose this controller instead of the Backbone One even though it had those issues due to the fact that it folds into a really small form shape that could be tucked away in the back of my bag or into pockets for traveling.

Razer Kishi Folded
The iPhone is really compact and great for gaming on the go. I own the iPhone 13 Pro Max and it works just fine. It can fit almost every modern iPhone including the Mini series, so don't be concerned about it not suitable for your device. Last thing you should know is the fact that it is available in two different versions 1. for iOS and 2. for Android using USB C. PS: This works with Xbox Game Pass and OpenEmulator for iPhone.

Backbone One
Backbone One
It is the second top-of-the-line option for this on the Best iPhone Gaming Controllers list and I'll be honest with that you I was almost going to this model over the Razer Kishi due to the fact that this controller comes with better joystick placement and a bit firmer, heavier, feeling to it making it feel a little larger and more "pro" gaming feeling, however, the design isn't my favorite. However, you have to decide the one that is portable more than quality, or quality over mobility?

It is true that this device includes an application launcher software for games that is decently cool, but I think it's an untruth and I wouldn't even take it into consideration when trying to decide between this device and the Razer Kishi.

I can still recommend this model based on what I've researched and discovered that it's a good choice . malding 's only personal preference that separates this Backbone One and the Razer Kishi as both are priced at around $100. PS it works when you use Xbox Game Pass

The most sensible option...
Honestly if you want to get the perfect balance of budget friendly and quality, it's best to avoid spending more than sixty dollars to buy a controller. Instead, just get an official console controller like Xbox or PlayStation using the DualShock. They are wireless and the built quality is something these $100 controllers are not able to beat, however they beat the official console controllers when it comes to portability.

Xbox Controller
The Xbox controller offers the best value and balance of quality, but before I leave you there are some things you should know about using an Xbox controller when you have an iPhone 1. The paddles won't work with the Elite Series 2 and the Elite Series 1 doesn't have Bluetooth to it, so it won't work. All the different Bluetooth contemporary Xbox controllers work perfectly.

PlayStation Dual Shock Controller
The controller has been tried and tested for compatibility with Emulators and virtually every game related in iOS However, the new PS5 controller will not support adaptive triggers due to Sony not allowing it. Both the PS4 version and the PS5 version controllers work well with iPhone.
