This is a question I have asked since the day I gave my baby girl the tablet as well as the Youtube channels specifically made for babies. These channels are specifically designed to help babies learn to improve their cognitive abilities, and help them become more social and mentally competent. I can see my daughter enjoying the program. She's constantly watching it with sparkling eyes and smiling, ready to fly off of her lips. But I don't understand all the commercial breaks. My child isn't an adult consumer. Why do you insist to promote commercial breaks on Youtube, even though they're not suitable for a baby for my child?
Firstof all, babies aren't able to comprehend commercials. This is a total expense and a waste of resources, including time spent making and playing this commercial advertisement (video) to a child.. They're not babies. If this is the case, why would you want to play ads to these little babies? If the father or mother, or other baby care givers are watching, then they will be able to benefit from the ads? This is becoming annoying to me.
It's the same for cat videos. Recently, I realized that my cat loves watching these engaging videos for cats. It is usually some birds or mice however, my cat watches them without moving for many hours. Perhaps hunting. These videos are repeatedly interrupted by advertisements. What do they want to achieve? My cat does not consume these videos. She doesn't even care about advertisements. But maybe they are hoping I'll be watching the videos with my cat? They are partially correct. I find myself watching inconvenient cat videos more frequently than I actually do anything useful.
And so I have found a great solution I've been using lately. It basically involves downloading Youtube videos onto my computer, or to my daughter's tablet, then playing them from there. It's easy to understand. This website gives me to save video on my own computer and not have it transferred to Youtube whenever my cat wants to watch birds. Then I double-click this MP4 file on my computer. VLC plays it instantly and there are no ads.
Same process is with the videos of babies and videos on video channels. It's simple to find videos my daughter enjoys and then download them from Youtube and then copy them onto her table. Sometimes, it's just one or two songs. If the videos are long I transfer them onto her tablet. It's actually much easier to use this website straight from my desktop.
