[, Music, ], [, Music, ], [, Music, ] high fists, a company that produces aftermarket accessories for Glocks and other handguns their custom base plates are meant to increase the durability, longevity and, in some cases, the capacity of your everyday carry handgun. The base plates from hive technologies are made of aluminum, making them significantly more durable and robust than standard magazine base plates. I'Ve offers a wide variety of colors combinations and variants of their base plates, meaning you're, given a lot of different options to choose from. I currently own a small base plate and a +2 base plate. The color I own is red, even though I don't prefer red, that's just the color. I'Ve sent me for the review, so this is the example we'll be using the color of the base plates assistant visibility. This makes it so that you can see the magazines and training environments where there is a potential to lose them, especially in the early evening or at night. A crucial part of your CCW training is for nighttime scenarios. Once the drill is complete, you might have a hard time, locating the magazine that you happen to drop, especially if it's a darker color i've offers a variety of brighter colors, some of which reflect light better than others. Color variation also could be beneficial if you're running different bullet weights in different magazines. My primary defensive round at the moment is 124 grain plus peace, pure gold, dot oftentimes. I carry a spare magazine with hundred 35 grain hornady critical duty loaded. The critical duty is a little bit heavier than the gold thoughts, so if you're needing around that is a bit better at hard barrier penetration, especially in high adrenaline scenarios. Color coordination can be incredibly beneficial and, of course, for those of you who, like myself, really enjoy personalizing your guns and tailoring them to your specific, wants and needs. The many different colors give you more options for stylization [, Music ]. Essentially, the base plates exist to enhance durability and allow your magazines to fall faster during reloads. The added weight on the bottom of the magazine also allows it to fall base plate first, meaning that the base plate will be the first part of the magazine in the ground. This will help protect the feed lips of the magazine, as well as other parts that you don't want getting torn up, even something as simple as a plus zero base plate can assist in reloading. However, I've found this in plus two base plates greatly enhanced my ability to reload the pistol efficiently. Payson point the Glock 43 X. The Glock 43 X is a debatably compact handgun, and thus it can be more difficult to reload such a small handgun properly, especially under stress. I don't have much trouble reloading, midsize and full sized handguns, but the Glock 43 X is very difficult for me to reload efficiently. The +2 baseplate greatly enhances my ability to reload this gun quickly. It gives me something much larger to grab on to during reloads, which makes it a lot easier for me to index the mag ball properly. https://www.techtricksclub.net/how-to-fix-youtube-an-error-occurred-playback-id/ goes that saying that the +2 baseplate does slightly increase the standard magazine capacity with new products like the S 15 from shield arms hive is presented with pretty serious competition. However, their base plates are not rendered obsolete by any means, despite the inherent advantage that a 15-round flush, fitting magazine presents an advantage is still an advantage, despite the fact that more efficient advantages exist. Of course, if you're extending a guns default magazine capacity, the most efficient way to retain its reliability is to also extend the length of the magazine spring. The +2 base plate comes the slightly longer magazine spring. To help with this over the course of this review, I threw these magazines in the dirt a lot I also buried them. Then I test-fired them to make sure that they could still run reliably. Obviously, the flush fitting base plate isn't going to affect this, but the longer magazine spring up the plus tube base plate was something of ambiguity that I felt needed to be tested. So I did and performance was flawless. You hi everyone welcome to Papa Johns Creek shit. This is where I come to hide the bodies. I mean that test fire guns whenever I can't afford to drive out to the range so we're just going to be running this little Glock 43 X to its places with these type technologies base plates and such it's going to be very fun and scientific. So, let's just see how it does I threw these things in the dirt. I I treated them like crap pretty much so, let's just see how we do twelve rounds, flawless performance and more, I haven't experienced any problems with these base plates in the time that I've owned them. The +2 base plate does require the inclusion of an extended magazine spring to ensure that the magazine retains its reliability in feeding. I left it loaded for a large duration of this review and the spring seems to hold up very well. I didn't notice that the magazine follower did sometimes stick just a little bit, causing the gun slide that failed to lock the reel not empty. However, this was only during dry fire practice. I experienced no issues during live fire. I [ Music ] really liked hive technologies base plate offerings, they're, durable, reliable and very aesthetically pleasing. If you ask me even a flush fitting base plate makes the pistol it's fitted to look more complete and finished if you're looking for aftermarket base plates for your pistol, be it for enhanced durability or increased capacity. You can't go wrong with hive technologies. I highly recommend them and their product. I hope you enjoyed the video please press like and subscribe to keep up with my channel. Thank you for watching and stay safe [ Music ], [ Applause, ], [, Music ], the color of the base plates assist in durability. No, they don't the color of the base plates if you're looking for aftermarket base plates for your pistol, be it for enhanced durability or increased capacity, took me a minute and a half to do the the intro to this video.
