Layer upon level of history is all over, from the UNESCO listed Roman ruins to the middle ages cobblestone and alleyways streets and also the Romanesque-Gothic cathedral.

1. Catedral de Tarragona
The great Cathedral of Tarragona was created in the 12th century on the site of a 10th century Moorish mosque, as well as its construction continued for centuries after. 4. Balc�n del Mediterr�neo
At the south end of the wide tree lined Rambla Nova, Tarragona's key neighborhood, could be the Balc�n del Mediterr�neo. From this spacious terrace, tourists can admire stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea and El Milagro Beach.

5. Museu Nacional Arqueol�gic de Tarragona
The National Archaeological Museum of Tarragona has one of Spain's best collections of early Roman art. The exhibits display antiquities and finds coming from the town's archaeological websites, including a wide variety of early Roman sculptures, mosaics, pottery, and other artworks together with amphora and sarcophagi.

6. Roman Forum
The Roman Forum is a monumental archaeological website (west on the Rambla Nova) that was the middle of Tarraco, an early Roman town which flourished inside the 1st as well as 2nd generations AD.

7. El Serrallo: An older Fishing Village
El Serrallo is the old fishing village at the heart of Tarragona. This area has kept the old-world charm of its, although Tarragona developed into a modern city.

8. Casa Castellarnau
Casa Castellarnau was built within the 15th century for an influential aristocratic family, and decades of the household resided here until finally the 19th century. This elegant palace reveals a melange of Gothic and Neoclassical architectural elements. Much of the furnishings are inside the style of Queen Isabella II.

9. Playa del Milagro

Tarragona's 15 kilometer coastline is prized for its beautiful beaches with golden sand shores and calm waters because of the step slope of the seaside. From the Balc�n del Mediterr�neo, scenic promenades lead to the shores.
