Author-Valentin Kang How To Shower While CampingFor an exciting twist on the morning meal while camping with your kids, get up early and prepare a "jungle breakfast". Tie juice boxes, tiny boxes of cereal and fruit to trees in the woods. Your children can then hunt these foods when they wake up. It adds some fun to camping. Make sure that you avoid any venomous plants. A good way to do this is to stop at the ranger station and ask what kinds of poisonous plants are in the area so you can identify them if you come into contact with them on the trail. Never eat anything while hiking on the trail if you do not know it is edible. How To Pack Camping Gear For A FlightWhen you reach your campsite, the first thing, you should do is to start collecting wood for your fire. You won't feel like it later on, and if you wait until dark you will have a harder time finding the kind of wood you need to keep a fire going. Do it right away. Your camp should always be set up before the sun sets. This means a safe parking place for RV campers. If you have a tent, find dry, flat ground. You will be able to see the area better before nightfall and become familiar with it. You can save time by knowing what you are doing. What Do We Need For CampingTake along a box with essential supplies when you go camping. Include things like stick matches, a flashlight, cooking tools and hand cleaner. Prepare in advance. Think about all the things you might need days before you leave on your trip, especially if you will be far from any store. Do not take anything that belongs in nature with you when you leave. Have fun and take pictures, but when you are loading up the car, make sure rocks, pinecones and other objects remain where they are. This is one of the unspoken rules of camping. Everyone should have the same opportunity to enjoy these things. When you are heading out for that long awaited camping trip, don't forget to take along your cell phone. You may be tempted to leave all the texting and calls behind, but your cell phone can be one of your most important safety lifelines in the event of an emergency. Make sure it is fully charged and keep it protected from the elements in a plastic bag or waterproof case. Before you head out for your camping trip, be sure that you take the time to practice setting up your tent. You do not want to get yourself frustrated at the site. Setting the tent up the second time will be much easier than it was the first time around. Duct tape is an interesting item to be included in your inventory while camping. There are multiple uses to put it to when camping, just like at home. You can slap a piece of it on a leaking air mattress. Use it to cover any holes or rips that appear in tents or hold together items that break. Putting some on your feet before hiking can prevent blisters. It can also work as a bandage. People who are going camping would be wise to stay away from axes to do their chopping. Sure an Ax might make you feel manly, but in many conditions, particularly when it is wet outside, or you are tired, an ax is a one-way ticket to the hospital. A great tip for anyone who is planning a camping trip is to bring along some hand sanitizer. Hand sanitizer is great for keeping your hands germ free, but it can also act as a disinfectant if you get a cut somewhere on your body and don't have access to first aid. Ensure that you clean your campsite up whenever you finish using it. go now up any piece of trash you can find. This is just common courtesy for the people who will be using it whenever you finish. You would want and expect the same thing in return from other people. Watch out for irritants like poison ivy. It usually has recognizable triple-leaf clusters. However, poison sumac and poison oak tend to have more leaves and also need to be avoided. Keeping your skin completely covered when near these irritants can help prevent rashes. You should also carry some calamine lotion and allergy medication or antihistamines as a precaution. Make sure you always have a source of clean water with you. When camping, you can't always trust that a natural water source is clean enough to drink from without boiling the water first. So keep a canteen filled with water at your side during any daily adventure. In the evenings, boil any spring water for ten minutes to create clean water reserves for the next day. Clearly, camping is an activity that can be enjoyed by virtually everyone. When you use the information here, you are able to plan a trip that anyone can enjoy, even those who dislike nature. Get out and about and take advantage of what Mother Nature has to offer. ![]() |
