| Midway Atoll is in the nth pacific , half way between Hawaii and Japan. It is a ex-USN airfield that is now managaed by the US Parks and wildlife service. Midway Atoll is the site of a famous battle of WW2 - The Battle of Midway - were the US turned the tide of the war in the pacific against Japan. One of Midway famous features, is it is a the bredding site of 100,000's of Laysan, Black footed albatross. |
