From the maker of Clash of Clans, Supercell has one more game on its list after it introduced the freemium real-time strategy game called Clash Royale in 2016. It stars the Royales and follows the basic principles of tower defense games with the difference of using decks just like in the collectible card games and the core gameplay structure of multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA). It has already received several acclaims from both players and critics since its release as it is enjoyed by both casual and competitive players around the world.

Clash Royale utilizes the mechanics of tower rush gameplay that promote speed and surprise that will overwhelm the enemy. Each side has two opposing players or teams battle in the arena and they need to guard three towers. The objective of the players is to ruin their opponents’ towers in a matter of three minutes an additional three minutes for overtime should the battle requires it.

Clans have been an essential part of the Clash Royale game since it was initially released, which allows players to build a community where they may also exchange cards. A clan can usually has a maximum of 50 players and each player can share emotes and talk to each other at the same time. The game has now allowed Clan Wars from the April 2018 update where players can fight against other Clans in a team composed of at least ten members. Each member must have at least one battle so that the Clan could make its progress on War Day and they could be ranked between 1 and 5.

In 2016, the Tournament feature was presented and Clash players can take part should they desire to level up their competitive skills. Although it is similar to normal battles, it also has variations as cards are capped at Level 9, could be unlocked by players with experience Level 5, and can be played just from experience Level 8. Gems are utilized when taking part in tournaments and players receive tournament chests that include cards or gold as reward.
