The times are hard. The new world of the gig economy isn't so straightforward for me to navigate. Prior to the outbreak, I was doing very well. I was also employed as an assistant to the dentist. I am now required to take a night-time security role at the nearby machine manufacturing plant. Most of it is automated. There are employees during the day however, there are only me and two engineers are on the night crew. I have emergency number to call in the event that something goes wrong and the machine is stopped without a clear restart time visible. I contact engineers, or call the outside line to find more engineers. I don’t really do anything. The company isn't even producing anything there, so night guard is an ordinary switchboard attendant.
It is quiet and peaceful that I find pleasant. It's peaceful. Even though I'm a sleepy person, I'm a bit scared. It's a bit dull at night, so I keep trying to make it go by quicker. I have spent the last two weeks perfecting a dance that I watched on Tik Tok. It's easy, but it's hard to replicate the dance. The dance was developed by a young girl on Tik Tok. I don't know what to refer to this stuff as. I am too old.

Recently, I've been trying different videos for car repairs. I'm not able to apply them right away to my car, but I love watching other people make their cars invincible. DIY videos can be as instructive and easy. And so I started running across another issue. Internet stopped working on my phone in the end. I was unable to access any video or any other thing because, as we know, internet is essential for everything. I found out how to download Youtube videos onto my mobile. Then, while internet was gone for hours, I could quickly watch DIY videos on my phone. It doesn't matter if stream it from a particular site or other online. If you download it in your home, and then watch it on your phone when you don't have internet access or any other type of online. It's as easy and straightforward as DVR.
Speaking of TV, to my total joy I've found out how I can download new episodes, and even movies, directly onto my laptop. I brought my laptop into work because it has a bigger screen as well as better speakers. It's so much easier to watch TV shows there. I signed up to HULU and Netflix. I am now able to download their apps and watch films instead of streaming them. The length of the show and quality choices will determine the speed at which the video will be downloaded onto my device. https://qdownloader.cc/ Then it'll be available at all times and without internet connection. Although the show is only 15 minutes long, it allows me time to catch up on the previous night's episodes.
To make my time go by faster I've found lots of educational and enjoyable materials I can print at home. Youtube's webinars are fantastic. However, it's hard to stay focused on the content even when interrupted many times. If you know what I mean... In these instances, I again try to prepare at home, and download Youtube video in mp4 format to my laptop, and then watch it at any time during work, no limitations on wifi, and no wifi needed at all, the file is stored on my laptop as a DVR, nothing can go bad even if the internet isn't perfect as it's not a requirement in my case.
Sometimes, I bring my son to work. My wife's shift at night is too late, and it's difficult for me to remain at home with my child. So, I bring him along with me and place him in front of the computer screens that I keep an eye on. He sleeps within minutes. But when he wakes up, I offer him my laptop with a few of those freshly downloaded music videos. As the screen is filled with crazy young artists do their crazy things on screens and he's happy. I am content to continue doing my things via the phone.. Being our own person is what helps us work together. It's possible that he enjoys coming to dinner with me. Maybe it's because he is inclined to be in bed late at night.
