| OBJECTIVE OF SLOBBERHANNES: To avoid being the first player to reach 10 points NUMBER OF PLAYERS: 4 players NUMBER OF CARDS: 32 cards RANK OF CARDS: (low) 7 – Ace (high) TYPE OF GAME: Trick taking AUDIENCE: Adults INTRODUCTION OF SLOBBERHANNES Slobberhannes, which translates to sloppy eater, is a simple trick taking game for four players. Each player’s goal is to avoid capturing the first and last trick as well as the Queen of Clubs. This is a must follow game with no trump suit making it perfect for people new to trick taking. THE CARDS & THE DEAL Slobberhannes uses a 32 card deck that ranges from 7 low up through Ace high. Each player cuts the deck with the highest card leading the first trick. The player seated to the right of that person deals first. The entire pack of cards is dealt out evenly, so each player will receive eight cards. THE PLAY Beginning with the player who cut the highest card, they choose any card from their hand and play it face up on the table. Continuing left, each player must play a card that matches the lead-card’s suit if they can. If they cannot, they are allowed to play any card they want. Whoever plays the highest card in the suit that was led captures the trick. The trick-winner leads. Play continues until all eight tricks have been played. The completion of the final trick ends the round. SCORING Players earn penalty points for capturing the first trick, the last trick, and the Queen of Clubs. If the same player captures all three, they earn an additional penalty point. 오공슬롯 WINNING The game ends once a player reaches 10 points or more. That player loses. Everyone else wins. |
