| EVEREST OBJECTIVE OF EVEREST: Be the first player to fill in all twenty-four spaces on the scoresheet NUMBER OF PLAYERS: 2 or more MATERIALS: 3 six-sided dice, scoresheets TYPE OF GAME: Dice game AUDIENCE: Kids and Adults INTRODUCTION TO EVEREST Everest is a roll and write game that challenges the player to roll their dice and decide which number they should cross off from their scoresheet. Choose carefully because the first player to cross off all twenty four spaces wins the game. Here is an example of a scoresheet for Everest: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 12 11 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 Scoresheets can be created easily enough on scrap pieces of paper, or you can print your own here. THE PLAY Each player rolls all three dice. The player with the highest total goes first. Play will pass clockwise around the table. A player takes their turn by rolling all three dice. They must choose a single number to cross off from their scoreheet based on the outcome of their roll. They can choose to use just one of their dice or a combination. For example, if the player rolls a 4, 5, and 6, they could cross of a 4, 5, 6, 9 (4+5), 10 (4+6), or 11 (5+6). That player may choose only one. Once they have crossed off a number, they pass the dice to the next player. If a player rolls and is unable to cross off a number, their turn is over.
