EYE EXERCISE #3: FLEXING

What It Is: Change focus between a near object and a far object in time to your breathing. Briefly look at a small detail on each object every time you change focus. What It Does: This eye exercise strengthens the focusing mechanism, improves coordination of the extraocular muscles, and stimulates the nutrient flow inside the eyes to naturally.

How To Do It:

Step 1. Get a near object with interesting details such as a pen, trinket, or piece of jewelry. Don’t use anything sharp! Hold it steady about 6” from the tip of your nose or even closer. The correct distance is about the length of a pen. If you hold it farther away, the eye exercise isn’t so effective.

Step 2. Select a distant object with details, such as a person, building, automobile, tree, or something across the room. Step 3. Change focus between the near object and the distant object in time to your breathing. Look at a detail on each object: (inhale > near > detail) (exhale > far > detail) ...
