The University of Miami's Department of Community Service Mental Health Delray (DOCS) 4 student run complimentary centers: the Caridad Clinic in Boynton Beach, the Center for Haitian Studies (CHS) Center in Little Haiti, the CONCEPT DOCS Night Center in Overtown, and the San Juan Bosco (SJB) Clinic in Allapattah. All provide distinct opportunities for medical students to offer back to the community, get mentorship from physicians, and gain experience in acting as an essential part of the healthcare group. SJB Center offers care to a diverse immigrant community primarily from Latin America and the Caribbean, while CHS serves citizens and Haitian immigrants in the Little Haiti neighborhood. All of our centers share the typical objective of delivering exceptional and thoughtful health care to the underserved. CHS Center occurs every Monday night and stresses medical care.
