1. Find out the development needs. Boil it into the superior three development needs, or perhaps simple terms, "what have you been trying to get from a program?" Typical answers are "learn how you can~the way to~tips on how to~the best way to~ways to be a little more strategic", "leading change", or some blend of functional knowledge (finance, sales, and marketing). There can be can be a timeframe that's better or worse than these (i.e., next Six months, stay away from the summer, etc...)




2. Search your preferred executive education providers.

3. If you notice a few potential programs, locate a good fit. Consider the recommended participant level, participant mix, industry mix, and company participation.

4. Browse the instructors, see the bios. Evaluate the everyday agenda, topics, and activities. Again, you desire an excellent fit to the participant and his/her development needs. Speak with the provider's Exec Ed Director, or someone who can assist you find out more on the programs.
Ask other's whether they have experience with this system.

5. Speak to past participants if possible, or someone responsible for leadership/executive development development.

6. Geography can sometimes be an issue. Trying to find a global experience? Than locate a good mix of global participants, or even better, attend a plan outside the U.S.

7. Amount of program: Programs range from 2-3 days to six weeks. I honestly do not know how one can afford to venture to a 6 week program these days, unless they are on the sabbatical or their business is just trying to find eliminate them for a time.

8. Look into the amenities'. Alright, I know, this is a learning experience and not a holiday, but first class food, accommodations, and surroundings each is area of the total experience. Also determine if the bedroom and foods are within the program.

9. Factors which should stop a part of a decision: alumni relationships, timing coinciding with the NCAA playoffs, and catchy program titles.

10. In the end of the, narrow it right down to 2-3 program, after which select determined by best fit, timing, and charges.
