From Hollywood to Cinecittà, several films have been set
in smoky poker rooms or in sparkling casinos, and many of these motion pictures have
gone down in historical past. An example? "The Sting", the film shot by George Roy
Hill in 1973 starring two legends of Hollywood like Paul Newman and Robert
Redford. In this film, which won seven Academy Awards, including best film,
director and screenplay, poker does not have a principal role. Nonetheless it is

succeeds in creating a fool of his rival pretending to be a drunk bookmaker.
Going back in time and speaking about the comedy genre, we can not leave out "Kaleidoscope"

In most recent times, other movies have been launched:
in 1998 "Lock&Stock" created its director, Guy Ritchie, renowned all above the
globe. This is a comedy set in the East End of London and it tells the deeds of
4 friends that have lost a large amount of cash playing poker and have to
give the funds back to a local gangster boss. In the 90s numerous other films with
some relationships to the planet of poker have been launched, like Martins Scorsese's
"Casino", a movie of 1995 starring Robert De Niro, Sharon Stone and Joe Pesci,

first 1, which tells the story of four friends that play a game of poker on
