| The first racket of the world Novak Djokovic will not participate in the tournament in Indian Wells. The tennis player continues to recover after the 2021 US Open, where he lost in the final to Russian Daniil Medvedev (4: 6, 4: 6, 4: 6). The Indian Wells Masters kicks off October 7th. Usually, the tournament takes place in March, however, due to the coronavirus pandemic, it was postponed to October.
