The little spider showed up again! This time I decided to try the technique of focus stacking. I took a number of shots each adjusted a bit with manual focus on a different part of the body -- I chose 5 to work with and these are the first 5 images.

Then, I loaded these into Photoshop layered and with the images aligned in Photoshop and each with a "layer mask" that allowed me to "show" and "hide" selected parts of the image.

I "showed" the sharper parts of each image. When I was done, I saved the result, and that is the sixth image, the "Stacked" copy!

Now to show the spider in the best composition, I use a crop, and the next three images are cropped versions of two of the "original" shots, and then of the stacked shot. You should be able to see the parts of the originals that are sharper in the stacked version!

Finally, I decided to "wax bold" and apply some Photoshop sharpening to the stacked image! I won't bore you with the details, but a "punch" of Photoshop Smart Sharpening did a number, showed by the last two images, a "normal" crop and then a close crop!
