The Oregon Coast Storm Zone: December 2007

In December of '07 the Oregon Coast was battered by a severe storm: gale-force winds tore up forests and buildings, mudslides and landslides caused much damage and some loss of life, and rivers flooded whold towns. All utilities were knoced out through the whole region for several days, leaving towns at 6:00 PM as dark as if it were 2:00 in the morning.

I made two trips to the Oregon Coast in December following the storm: the first was the week of the storm while rivers were still very swollen. I made the trip in the late afternoon so only got pictures heading down a valley to Tilamook, OR. The next trip was Friday December 14th, when I with my daughter was able to get some more pics!
