I spotted a bug in my home, and nabbed it. I had the bright idea of putting it in my freezer to slow it down for photography but then got distracted and, as it turned out, the bug didn't survive the Arctic temperatures. So, for our photographic session, I had to be satisfied with a bug lying down on its side.
I took these with the Canon 1D Mk III, the Canon 100mm f/2.8 macro, and three stacked extension tubes. The first pic is the original, the second is rotated and cropped to be a portrait (of sorts).
