Full Moon Shots, Nov 27 2012

After a fair number of "fair weather" days and nights with some patches of clear skies in which I'd done three different "shoots" of the moon prior to the Full Moon, this evening the moon was actually full, with no "sliver" of shadow. For those of you who have spent time studying "Shooting the Moon" you are hopefully aware that it is that shadow which can yield some very nice details if you have a "good" exposure and have the camera/lens combination and focus to show it!

Well, this evening I went ahead and took some shots, one reason being to demonstrate the "less detail" effect of all that light, and the other because there were patches of clouds and I wanted to see if there were effective ways of showing those clouds while at the same time getting a good exposure for the moon.

Well, I'm going to post the results of those things in a seperate "project page". For now, here are a few shots of the Full Moon, using my exposure "Lunar 11" Rule of Thumb to maximize visible detail. I cropped these all at "100%", small pieces of the center of the image.
