Following the wreckage of my car a few weeks ago, I have had to transition to alternatives for transportation until, well, my fortunes change. The local transit system sucks here but for some things there is no alternative, and there is a bus line nearby.

But my thoughts also went to a bike that has lain in my garage for some years because it had been messed up by, well, a well-meaning family member who had backed a car into it and wrecked the rear wheel.

Well, finally we got it into the trunk of her car, got it to a shop run by awesome people who spent a good two hours replacing the wheel and spoke and tuning up the gears and such and only charged $30!

So today I took a few shots to memorialize the "new" ride. I also took shots of some photography gear that I am used to loading in my car and then hiking around with for nature or street photography -- I need to seriously consider how to outfit myself as a biking photographer!
