I had to drive to the Yakima, WA area, so to "be prepared" I packed all my camera gear. On the return trip, I took pics!
I had fitted my Canon 5D with my 70-200 f/2.8 lens and was determined to stick with it, because I don't use that lens enough! So, even when I was walking around the Toppenish Wildlife Refuge, I stuck with the lens, hand-held, although some situations made me wish for more reach and a tripod (see the wildcats, for example).
Finally, at the end of the day, I did grab my 16-35mm to do a couple of evening wide angle shots. But it was worth it!
