Talofa Tony! The pictures truly captured the beauty of the day. I too was looking for pictures of the Samoan Community Council. Hopefully you will post more for all to enjoy. Thank you for sharing the awesome pictures!

Hi Paul and Rosey,

Thank you for your comments. I went to this event to challenge myself. It was the first time that I had been to this particular event and really didn’t have a game plan. I thought that I might get a few good images. As it turns out, there are a whole lot of good images. There are 175 in this gallery and many more that didn’t make it up.

At next years event (and possibly the 4th of July in Oceanside) I will have some images for sale. Keep sharing the link. This gallery has had over 5000 hits since I put it up.

We can't thank you enough for sharing your talent with us through your pictures. The festival means so much to us as a connnection to our heritage, and having them captured in your photos, are so pridefully beautiful!! We have forwarded your gallery of photos to families and friends all over the world, who were not able to attend. I usually can't wait to develop all the roles of film taken at a festival, but after viewing your photos, all six (6) roles of film are still sitting in the basket....auuwwee..

Absolutely wonderful pictures! I had attended all of the Pacific Island Festivals here in San Diego, unfortunately I missed this one. Viewing the pictures made me feel as though I was there! Thanks so much!

Talofa! These are such beautiful pictures. I participated in the first Pacific Islander Festival ever held in San Diego, which was at Seaport Village. I danced with the wonderful "KIKI SOTOA." Only if you could of been there for the first festival and maybe we could of continued some kind of album for this specific event!

Will you be posting up photos of the Samoan group? I can't wait to see those! Other than that, great job! Malo lava le taumafai!
