Meet Terry, Heather and CoCo.
They are from Boca Raton FL. I found them in the medium at Sports Arena Blvd and Rosecrans. They have been on the street for over a year. They moved out here initially to be with Heathers Family but they do not have room for them to stay there (family moved into a smaller apartment). Terry just started college. He is taking two night classes and wants to go into the IT field. He is getting grants and student loans for school but they have not come through yet (they did cover the books). Once loans and grants come through they will find a place to live. Right now they stay near the trolley station in old town. They have only blankets and use cardboard for padding.
Really nice couple and it breaks my heart to hear their story. They have been kicked out of shelters one because of the dog and the other because Terry is going to school. Dammed if you do and dammed if you don’t.
I am able to shoot them because I give them some money and most importantly listen to them and hear their stories. I know you can’t help all of them but a little goes a long way for them.
Be thankful that you or someone you may know is not living on the street.

PS this is not a snap shot day. I set out today to make a portrait today and I was able to do that and help someone too. :)
