China series: Inspiration of Red

To photograph of the Palace Museum also known as Forbidden City in the heart of Beijing, it has always been my dream to create a series of photo artworks for my collection. It was the former imperial palace of the Ming(1368-1644) and Ching (1644-1911) dynasties. In this project, a panoramic camera and a 6 x 9mm medium format camera were being used to photograph the form, shape and structure on different locations and cities(WuZhen and Ningbo). To make some pictures turnout in special effects in black and white, the infrared film were being used for this project. I have a notion to allow viewers to sense the geometrical form of structure, details and expression of human interest in my photography; Observe and conceive them with your perception and imagination.

Hong Kong series:

The Venice of Hong Kong, Tai-O.

Tai-O, Located on southwest of Lantau Island, Hong Kong. A fishing village has over 300 years of history and most of the stilt houses are built over the waterway.
My goal for this project is to record, reserve and capture details of landscape and events from my point of view and to project them into an art form, and to search for the strong and figurative images that can be able to interact with the viewers?mind and vision.

Year of the Monkey

Kam Shan Country Park, also called The Monkey Mountain in Hong Kong.
A habitat of around 5,000 Rhesus monkeys in this region, closed to the
Reservoir "Shek Lei Pui". It is truly an independent region for animals but closely attached to the human habitation.
The monkeys are small and moving very swiftly, photographing them from a low angle, chasing them from ground level by presetting the focus
manually on the lens from a medium format camera.
I like to experience of what they actually seeing at their size and height,
trying to photograph a portrait from this angle particularly of their face expression when in motion.
