What a great portrait and pose. As always in your photography the clarity and details are outstanding. I like that spot of red on the head of this green woodpecker. It really creates a wonderful contrast against the green. VVV
Unlike other woodpeckers, the green woodpeckers spend most of their time on the ground searching for ants. They climb trees and perches for nesting, roosting, territory defense, and scanning for predators, which is the good time for displaying a good pose for a skillful photographer to capture. ~VVVVV+~
