I just did a Google search. When an adult male Common Shelduck flies in a straight line with drooping wings, it is generally either a classic distraction display—intended to lure potential predators or threats away from a nest or ducklings—or an intimidation display directed at other shelducks or intruders. In any case, this behavior of a courageous male shelduck is perfectly illustrated by this exceptionally sharp image. ~VVVVV+~
