Between these and many others we saw as we journeyed up and down the mountain range, we saw many very well cared for horses with a great deal of room to roam - something that so many horses don't get the opportunity to participate in.
Thanks Dave, there is a special humor in getting this shot - as you may remember from coming down this side of the mountain, there are many "cow catcher" cutouts in the road that mitigate cattle escape. I worked the angle on this shot for a few minutes while the horses were very cooperative out there, and finally the only proper angle I could get was balancing myself across these bars to get the shot.
