Kids Pick Their Tree
This is the tree Alec & Megan picked out for their play room. We found this one in the first five minutes at the first Christmas Tree farm, so we were feeling pretty good at this point that we'd get both trees and have a lot of the day left over for back roads photo hunting. But it just wasn't meant to be.

Ready to Decorate
We had told the kids they could pick out a tree for their play room then decorate it themselves, so immediately after it was selected and cut down they swarmed the tree to start deciding how they are going to decorate it.

Fall Leaves
I didn't get the right timing with my camera this fall to get any real good red leaf shots, so this is my rebellious shot just to make sure I get one in. But, like my Chicago Bears and Charlie Brown always say, just wait until NEXT YEAR.

The Family Tree
Alec and I follow our tradition, which is that he and I hold the saw together to cut down our "family" tree.

Family Tree Down
It took five Christmas Tree farms and nearly all day for us to select the "just right" tree, so when it hit the ground the kids were happy that we'd be moving on to other activities.
