Some guy in a bright red shirt (out of frame here) runs up to
about 1/2 the distance the rest of us were and starts snapping
pix with his little point-n-shoot. The Elk apparently took this
as a challenge. He stomps out of the river and proceeds to hook
weeds and mud with his antlers and shake them around.
