Bill at Kane Springs Road Balanced Rocks

Near Moab, UT

While not as tall as the balanced rock inside Arches National Park, I think this formation is more impressive. It looks to be about 50-60' tall if you include the rocky outcrop it sits on. It appears as a tapering series of 3 rocks balanced one atop the other. I have not seen this formation described on any guide books or trail markers, but I think it deserves much more attention. It is located along the Kane Springs road north west of Moab. It could easily be reached by a passenger vehicle. (GPS location is N38.48250 W109.60150)
