The Zwinger is a battery tower that was part of the fortification of the town.
It was built in 1517.
With a wall thickness at the base of 6.5 meter, a diameter of 26 meter and a height of 20 meter,
the Zwinger is one of the strongest surviving and utilized defensive towers in Europe.
