Nice photo of this impressive hardware.
Chris Picard26-Oct-2023 21:34
Nice lens but I would prefer not to pack that around.
Nick Paoni26-Oct-2023 20:36
Ok my back is aching just from the thought of lugging that around.

If it was white it could be mistaken for a lighthouse!
Tom Munson26-Oct-2023 15:12
He's pretty stout to hand hold that 600. Great candid, Tom.
Ursula Miller26-Oct-2023 13:30
Impressive indeed. Where is his tripod? V

A dream lens for wildlife which is also way beyond my spending level. No doubt a challenge ot carry and long distances but what a tool for stellar captures. Nicely seen and captured Tom.

Agree with Isabel. I have bought far too much and i am trying to rationalsie at the moment.
Isabel Cutler26-Oct-2023 11:13
Ouch! I got rid of all my Canon dslr equipment and am quite happy with micro43. I have a Sony A7iii which I never fell in love with. I am FINISHED buying lenses! I think partially my phone cured me of needing every lens and latest and greatest camera body. When you reach 83 you realize that stuff begins to own you and that the less you have the less you have to be worried about.

Impressive ! I hope he has also a tripod ! Superb framing...

Nicely composed and timed. I think it could be a 500mm f/4 because of the location of the focus ring. A great setup with the tele-converter and 7D. "V"

Very well protected as an investment like that should be. Great and interesting shot!
larose forest photos25-Oct-2023 23:39
That is quite the lens!! I can't imagine using it without a tripod! V
Pierre Martin25-Oct-2023 21:52
i know what it like to carried this, with the tripod and the head, around 12 pounds for a 500mm!
excellent shot!
joseantonio25-Oct-2023 18:25
Wow, that must be really heavy.V
John Vass25-Oct-2023 18:06
Wow! Seen this in Yellowstone. Whole groups of big lens on bodies set on tripods on rise by the road all pointing at a a lone mangy wolf laying by a rock across the valley. Big lenses have their uses for some people!
Helen Betts25-Oct-2023 18:01
Yikes! That must be a very strong photographer! V.
Raymond25-Oct-2023 17:39
And no tripod! Not for me but eh, some people like big toys ...
globalgadabout25-Oct-2023 17:12
indeed...you would almost want a little red wagon to haul that lens about...the shooter must be very, very dedicated and intent..
