(Pfortmühle) the original mill burned down in 1893 and was replaced by this building a industrial monument of historicism.
In 1912 the mill was switched to electrical energy. The hydropower plant is still preserved today, consisting of a turbine and generator.
In 1975, the city bought the now closed mill which after renovation serves as a library and among other things as a Restaurant.
