Violin Museum

Mittenwald, Germany

The Geigenbaumuseum (Violin Making Museum) was founded in 1930 and has been housed in one of the oldest and most beautiful buildings in Mittenwald since 1960.
The displays highlight the craft of violin making and its development over more than three-hundred years,
as well as its links with the history of the local community.

Lovely to see this beautiful building again. A lovely shot.
We visited this pretty town in 2006 when, after I took just a few photos, my camera malfunctioned, and we've not been there since. I can't believe this was over 10 years ago! However, staying in Seefeld again next month, and hope to take the short train ride up to Mittenwald this time.
