An exciting 9th inning rally came up just short, as the Lynx fell to the visiting Richmond Braves 4-2.
The loss drops the Lynx record to 48-49 on the season.
Player Of The Game: Braves 2B Martin Prado went 3-for-5 with 2 RBI and a run scored in a winning cause for the visitors.
Game Recap: The Lynx scored first, thanks in large part to some aggressive base-running by Lynx 1B Andy Tracy. After his one-out single, Tracy stole second and moved up to third on an errant throw by Braves catcher Brayan Pena. Tracy would then score on Napoleon Calzado's two-out single. But the Braves turned the tide on the home squad with two runs in the top of the fifth. Martin Prado singled knocked in the first of his two runs batted in. He would knock in the eventual winning run before scoring an insurance run on a single by Brayan Pena. The Lynx put up a fight in the bottom of the 9th, scoring a run on an Ed Rogers groundout, but pinch hitter Eddy Garabito popped out to end the game with two men in scoring position.
