On August 13th, 2010 we were fortunate enough to visit a great site for Spiranthes diluvialis (Ute Ladies'-tresses)in Diamond Fork Canyon in central Utah. My Utah botanist friend Buddy Smith referred me to one Steve Ripple, another Utah botanist, who has done extensive surveys of this federally listed species. Steve generously provided me with GPS coordinates and directions to 7 locations along Diamond Fork Creek. It was a great day; the Utah red-rock scenery was magnificent and we found 13 plants, with two prime individuals and the rest just beginning to open.
