Adorned and covered with embroidery, silk, jewelry, and gemstones, their exhibition became a place of worship and prayers. Numerous festivities were celebrated in their honor, and people would sometimes come from afar to admire these martyrs. Traveling throughout the country in search of this little-known heritage, visiting abbeys, monasteries, convents, chapels, and ossuaries, venturing into a past that is sometimes forgotten even by the clergy, monks, or nuns in place.
