... some people raised families and lived their entire lives on these ships which were all tethered together in the harbor ... this photo attempts to capture that.

They still have these type of houseboats in other parts of Asia but they are becoming much less common in HK.

And so it does. I like the way the photo is alive with light. Each surface is different and reflecting light onto the others----the water, the hulls and the riggings. It teems with energy.
