... this shot was taken from the Caravelle Hotel rooftop restaurant and shows the Rex Hotel, which was rented by the US Army to house army officers. Although the photo is not very good, it does clearly show the Officer's Club atop the Rex Hotel ... and thus a memory for me.

Tom I had drinks on the roof of the Caravelle and looked down at the Rex. http://www.pbase.com/longbachnguyen/image/90927967 I think you made a comment on this picture.
