1936 DeSoto Airstream (New York Taxi)

This cab was used in the filming of "Roger Rabbit" (Walt Disney Studios). Note the rates posted on the door ... in 1936 it was $.20 for the first quarter mile and then five cents for each quarter mile thereafter.

Pretty Desoto, Hey Bob, great to see you still have the passion for Taxi's. Have you thought about finding a Desoto Suburban or limo an then cloning into a taxi. I am pretty sure this pictured Desoto may have gone through the same process.

At age 85. my collection of taxis, mostly Checkers (20). Would like to find a 36 DeSoto taxi for sale (any condition) Please let me know if you can furnish a lead thanx bob Welsh (317) 780-1937 Other makes in the 1930's will do also
