For All You Aviators Out There ... the Luscombe 8C in flight

... This is an award-winning 1946 Luscombe 8C, powered by a Continental 0-200 engine, owned and flown for the past 32 years by one of my best friends, Gregg, now living in the Seattle area.

Stunning plane, obviously well cared-for. Looks young for pushing 70...but I notice you're not in it :o)

I was two years old when they built this plane.
The plane still looks new.
I look very old.
Something wrong here.

To pick up on John's comment, I guess the more highly polished the less drag (and the more paint the more weight LOL...).

Tom - great shot of this classic. I have to admire anybody who has a polished airplane because they spend ten more times polishing than flying. That's why my airplanes are painted!
