This gallery shows a small example of an ongoing project that I have been working on for 30yrs. It consists of an archive of over 20,000 images and documents the ordinary daily life of hard working Classical Musicians seen from the unique perspective of an 'insider'. As a Musician as well as a photographer, I have daily access to the inner workings of Orchestras in Great Britain and working with the the near silent and unobtrusive leica M2,M6,snd M9 as well as Canon cameras, I have tried to capture the Joy, the heartache, the excitement, the inspiration and sometimes the sadness that musicians face and the general public never see, during the preparation and performance of the Worlds Greatest Music.
An Exhibition of some of these images can be seen at Chethams school of music from the 21st April 2017.

I will add more pictures to this Gallery in the near future as soon as I can find time to scan the many many negatives as well as process all the digital images I have.
