The smallest owl in Europe and Asia. It is only about 16 cm long and weighs about 60 grams. It's extremely rare here. It's been the first visit of this species in this country since 2006 and 1999.

When it discovers an enemy, it transforms from fluffy to long and thin in a splitsecond. In this case it was a woodpecker.
