LST 325, WWII ship that landed in Normandy on "D" day. This is the only full military operational LST left in the country. This ship was built in 1942 and commissioned in February 1943 and one out of 1,051 built. At 325' long & 50' wide, LST 325 is capable of caring 20 Sherman tanks, array of jeeps, trucks & medi-vans. With a crew of 118 the LST was also capable of transporting 500 troops. LST 325 is shown docked at the Covington, Ky side of the Ohio River. People waited for long periods of time to board the historic ship.
