I took this when I got home tonight. The sun was low in the sky and the shadows were long.
With the chain link pattern, I liked the contrast of the white siding.
I doctored the photo in PS, cranking up the contrast in the adjust levels control and isolated just the
red channel to create a B/W image. I'm not sure if I needed to, but I then converted the image to grayscale.
I prefer to use one of the color channels (depending on the image, I tend towards the red) for the basis of
my black and white images. I turn off the other channels, then doctor using the adjust levels control
before I trash the remaining channels.
