Yes, it's a flower photo... but how could you resist?
This is a California poppy from our front yard.
I never get enough of these things.
The color is overwhelming.
I often say that these poppies almost hurt to look at, the color is so intense.
Likewise, as often as I've taken pictures of poppies, this photo most closely captures what I see when I look at them.
I think the trick is to avoid over exposing the flower itself; it's easy to do.
