Welcome. This gallery documents our first winter trip to Yellowstone National Park to celebrate my partner John's 49th birthday. We flew into Bozeman, MT and spent our first night in Livingston at the historic Murray Hotel. Then on to Chico Hot Springs Hotel where we spent the next day soaking in the hot spring pool and having an amazing dinner together. Then it was on to Yellowstone where we spent the next 2 days on our own exploring the northern park seeing and hearing the amazing sounds of howling wolves. The second day we took a cross country ski lesson and explored a bit more on our own. Then we spent the next 5 days touring with the Yellowstone Association "Winter Wonderland" group led by our gifted guide, MacNeil Lyons, along with 4 other couples who shared the experience with us. The other couples were initially complete strangers though we all became good friends by the end of the tour.

I worked as a "savage" 3 summers during my college days, arriving one summer when the snow was still piled on the ground. I loved your photos - I must see Yellowstone again, but probably not in the winter.
