Telegraph Cove is an amazing place situated on the east coast of northern Vancouver Island. Abundant in natural wildlife, visitors often see bears, killer whales, humpbacks, sea lions, seals and all kinds of sea birds. We tracked several humpbacks for a while before lowering the hydrophone into the water... incredible noises. Sends shivers down your spine. Almost hunted to extinction in these waters, the humpbacks are making a comeback. Researchers have discovered 31 at last count, and further measures are being taken to increase their numbers. If you have a chance, a visit to Telegraph Cove is highly recommended.
